Horses
by Izzy Vaillancourt
A horse is free in the wild or in the arms of a little girl
but not with a jockey
The horse is the sun of my sunshiny days,
the mood of my dark nights
and the guardian of my soul.
Douglas Legacy Farm Horses
The horses receive the very best daily care, plus quality veterinary and farrier care.
We love having visitors and so do the horses!
The horses given to the Douglas Legacy Farm are provided with the of best care. Three were rescued in Pennsylvania. Two came from family farms in Wisconsin. All are regularly seen by the farrier, have their nutrition and medication carefully managed, and have any health concerns immediately attended to by a veterinarian.
Today, these wonderful horses enjoy being groomed and walked and are provided with plenty of loving care. They spend their days on open pasture and return to their stalls twice a day for special feeding. Because of their work history, and on the advice of our veterinarian and farrier, none of the horses are ridden.
Will be the first to come in for feed. Coming out of the pasture in a trot or canter.
