Services
We do all that we can to ensure that the six horses under the care of the Douglas Legacy Farm get the best care possible. They are under the watchful and loving care of Alice Vysinka.
Here are a list of some things we manage through exceptional care by Alice, by Dr. Suzanne of Equine Veterinary Services and Clinic, and by Mike Kissack - farrier. The horses receive ongoing dental care, timely vaccinations, special feed - when needed, individualize farrier services, and wellness checks throughout the year. The horses have the run of a pasture, so lots of exercise, and are brought inside in inclement weather or when special care is required. Each horse has its own stall and feeding routine.
Our rescue horses require specialized care. Handsome, for example has ringbone. Clover is totally blind. Amorino Hanover has had his front teeth removed. Yet, they are wonderful horses that respond to the loving care they receive daily. They know they are in good hands. The Douglas Trust is committed to a quality life for each horse and appreciate your help in making this possible.
